Friends in Need Food Shelf

We are so happy to announce that as of June 1, clients can come into the building to shop for themselves! Because not everyone is vaccinated, we have several temporary policies in place. One person from each family can come in to shop, and masks are optional at this time. We request that they bring a picture ID and a current bill to each appointment.

If clients need help and live in Cottage Grove, Newport, St. Paul Park, or Grey Cloud Island, they can call FIN at (651)458-0730 on  Mondays between 12:00-3:00, or Tuesday mornings after 7:30 am to make an appointment.  If clients in our service area don't have transportation or are disabled, they must call the food shelf on Mondays between 12:00-3:00 to discuss delivery options for Tuesday.  If clients are not comfortable coming in to shop, or if they can't find a babysitter or someone to wait in their car with their children, we offer curbside pickup. For this option, clients MUST call on Mondays between 12:00-3:00 and we will set up a special appointment on Tuesday between 11:30-1:30. When they arrive on Tuesday, they can park in our specially marked "Curbside" parking spot and call (651)458-0730 to let us know they are here.

During this difficult time, MN has changed the income qualifications to 300% or less of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, so many more people qualify. For specific information, please see below. Thanks for helping us meet the needs of our community, while trying to keep everyone as safe as possible.
